You will learn
- Practical skills in using common hand tools, equipment, fixing and securing electrotechnology components
- Fabricate, assemble, and dismantle components used in the utilities industry
- Solve problems in low d.c. voltage circuits
- Knowledge of electrical principles including air-conditioning, data communication, solar and the energy sector
- Work safely with electricity and understand electrical hazards
Course outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:
- Recognition of up to two VCE VET units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence.
- ATAR contribution: if you receive a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence you may be eligible for an increment towards your ATAR
- Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre-vocational) qualification
