Entry requirements

  • Attending a secondary school
  • Literacy and numeracy level equivalent to the successful completion of Year 9

You will learn

  • Fundamental design skills relevant to creative design across multiple industries
  • Develop a broad range of technical and conceptual design skills
  • Apply introductory design theory and history to your practice
  • Apply various digital and technical design skills to interpret, respond, create and present to a range of design briefs

Course outcomes

Upon successful completion of this program you will receive:

  • Following block credit rules, recognition of up to six VCE Units. Credits accrue in the following sequence; 1, 2, 3, 4, 3 and 4 
  • ATAR contribution: if you receive a VCE VET Units 3 and 4 sequence you may be eligible for an increment towards your ATAR 
  • Certificate III in Design Fundamentals qualification
